Full time or part time faculty position in the OU Clinical Nurse Specialist Program

   APPLICATIONS INVITED    NURSING FACULTY    CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST

 The Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, invites applications for a full time or part time faculty position in the Clinical Nurse Specialist Program. This academic position requires teaching, research and/or scholarly activities, and offers opportunity for clinical practice. Primary teaching responsibilities will take place at the OUHSC Oklahoma City or Tulsa campus, but travel within the state will be required for student clinical site visits. Applicants must have a master’s degree or higher in nursing, with a doctorate in nursing or related field preferred. All applicants must be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in Oklahoma and be nationally certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. A minimum of two years teaching experience is required.

 The College of Nursing has multiple relationships with community partners including but not limited to OU Medical Systems, Stephenson Cancer Center, Donald W. Reynolds Center for Geriatric Nursing Excellence and oversees a Case Management program for a large network of Oklahoman’s receiving care through the state Advantage program. Applicants who are interested in developing a faculty/practice role are encouraged to include that interest in their application.

 The College of Nursing is one of seven health-related colleges located at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. The campus is the state’s major educational resource for health professionals in medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, public health and allied health. The Graduate College is the center of advanced study, research, and creative activity in the health sciences. There are excellent opportunities for clinical practice and research with university and clinical partners.
