Brandy Burgess, MSN-RN, APRN-CNS, ACCNS-AG

Brandy Burgess, MSN-RN, APRN-CNS, ACCNS-AG, is an advanced practice registered nurse clinical nurse specialist specializing in critical care and pulmonology. She has over 25 years of patient care in many different areas of nursing, including academia, critical care, long-term acute care, and as a respiratory care educator, with the majority of her career spent in pulmonology and pulmonary hypertension, both inpatient and outpatient. She currently provides care at OU Health and Integris Health in Oklahoma City.

Brandy earned her Bachelor’s and Masters of Science in Nursing from Master of Science in Nursing from the Fran & Earl Ziegler College of Nursing at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) in Oklahoma City. She has held several offices, including OUHSC Master’s program representative for the Leadership Class, Liaison for OUHSC Interdisciplinary Geriatrics Interest Group, and Member of Empowering Patients through Interprofessional Collaboration (EPIC).

She has a strong passion for patient and staff advocacy and community involvement. Brandy volunteers at a free clinic in Oklahoma City for many, helping to provide better access to care and has been a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and the Oklahoma Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists for many years.
