Brittni Meyer, MSN, APRN-CNS

Brittni is a Clinical Nurse Specialist at the Eastern Oklahoma VA Health System who has a broad range of specialty care experience that includes cardiology, nephrology, neurology, sleep medicine, and pulmonology. Her passion and main role at the VA has been in pulmonology. She was drawn to pulmonology after watching her cousin live and suffer with Cystic Fibrosis. At VA, she serves as the Chair of the Evidence-Based Practice Council and helped implement a tele-nephrology and tele-neurology program when the facility did not have access to those services in-house. She earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing at the University of Oklahoma Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing and plans to eventually go back to school to obtain her Doctor of Nursing Practice.

She has quickly learned that being an active member of professional organizations such as OACNS is prudent as it allows her and other members to advocate for the future of nursing practice.
