Kristen Walcher, APRN-CNS

Kristen is an advanced practice registered nurse, adult-gerontology clinical nurse specialist who specializes in hospitalist medicine. Kristen graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with her bachelor’s in nursing degree in 2014. She completed her master’s of science in nursing in 2023 at the University of South Alabama and then obtained her certification for adult gerontology clinical nurse specialist.

She has practiced in several different specialities throughout her nursing career, including post orthopedic surgery, cardiovascular stepdown, general float pool stepdown, travel nursing, and pre/post cardiac cath lab. Having experience in several areas of medicine assisted her in choosing her hospitalist medicine specialty, in which she treats a variety of health conditions. She is one of the Hospitalist APRN Admission Coordinators at Integris Baptist Medical Center. This role is unique in that she assists in direct patient care but also is involved with hospital systems management.

Kristen has a special interest in chronic disease, such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. She encourages healthy lifestyle modifications to help patients achieve their best quality of life. She believes in a proactive approach to patient care, strong collaboration, and team work to create the best outcomes.
