Michelle Pope, MSN, APRN-CNS, AGCNS-BC, CPN, CNE-ret
Michelle is board certified as an Advanced Practice Clinical Nurse Specialist, caring for patients with Multiple Sclerosis. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas, a Master of Science in Nursing from Graceland University, and a post-master’s certificate as a clinical nurse specialist from the University of Oklahoma. She has over 31 years of nursing experience in various adult and pediatric clinical specialties and spent 8 years as adjunct and full-time faculty in pre-licensure nursing education in the Kansas City Metro. the last 8 years, she has been engaged in staff education and healthcare process improvement at OU Health.
She is also a certified pediatric nurse (CPN) and a certified nurse educator-retired (CNE-ret). Patient advocacy is her passion, along with safety in healthcare, education, and empowering staff to engage in process improvement.
She is a member of OACNS, NACNS, IOMSN and CMSC. She loves to help others to discover the INCREDIBLE opportunities that a CNS can contribute to Healthcare. In her free time, She and her husband spend time visiting their 7 children, 3 grandchildren, and traveling as often as they can.
