Stacie Hanes, APRN-CNS

Stacie Hanes is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). She specializes in cardiology. Stacie graduated with her Associate Degree in Nursing from Oklahoma City Community College in 1995, then with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from The University of Oklahoma (OU) Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing in 2002. She finished her Master of Science in Nursing at OU in 2020 and obtained her Adult-Gerontology CNS certification in July of 2020.

Stacie worked in medical-surgical nursing and cardiovascular intensive care units for 6 years at Mercy, then transitioned to cardiovascular research for the last 22 years. She helped develop and create the Valve Clinic at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in 2011. Initially focusing on aortic stenosis, but the “Valve Clinic” has evolved into all structural heart and valvular disease. She currently runs this department with her team of nine Registered Nurses and Medical Assistants. In 2021, Stacie also began adjunct teaching clinical rotations for BSN students at OU.
